Modern West Fine Art's Jewelry Artist Brecken Geiman

We are thrilled to have two statement necklaces in our gallery from jewelry artist Brecken Geiman. These pieces incorporate hand sculpted, handmade and found elements. Each necklace includes a meticulously hand-sculpted longhorn skull. These skulls are made with metal mesh and clay, first the lightweight metal mesh is used to create a base for the skull then several layers of clay are overlaid for the finished product.

Brecken created this piece by combining clay, silver, aluminum, copper wire horns, genuine turquoise beads, large coral focal beads, an antique brass bead from 1970 and a reclaimed vintage chain from her various estate sale treasure hunts.

This unique piece is composed of clay, reclaimed vintage leather from a retro upholstery shop where Brecken worked in high school, antique brooch from the Eastern shore of Virginia from the 1950’s, genuine coral focal beads, hand-drawn and hand-cut etched metal feathers and a reclaimed vintage clock chain.

These pieces are currently available in our gallery!
