This month is the first annual Small Works exhibition for Modern West Fine Art!
We love the idea of having a special show just for the holiday season that includes new, small works with great prices, wide variety, and the participation of over 20 of our artists. This makes a particularly exciting exhibition for our artists, collectors, and art lovers.
Making Small Works an annual holiday season exhibition is no small feat. Many of our artists created new works just for this show, no larger than 18 x 20 inches. We currently have on display over 100 pieces of art for this show, making Small Works our biggest exhibition of the year!
We would like to say thank you to all of our participating artists for making this possible.
All works are available for purchase. First come, first serve basis.
Small Works is on display through January 8th, 2016! Open Tuesday - Saturday 11 - 6 pm.

We were happy to host a meeting with the special people that make the Art Film Series happen.
Don't miss the next film viewing on November 25th of Albert Maysles' Iris at UMFA.
We had so much fun last night during Salt Lake Gallery Stroll! We thoroughly enjoyed hosting artist Phil Epp with his engaging personality. It was a delight to hear Epp talk about his work, his process, and the inspiration he pulls from the horizon, sky, and open spaces. His latest show of new works is absolutely stunning, and we are happy to have it on display through November 17th.
It was our pleasure to host Arlo and Nicole Namingha, from Santa Fe, NM, for the evening. Arlo led a captivating discourse about his heritage, family, and the influences and symbolism in his interactive sculptures. For example, Arlo transforms katsina dolls (carved representations of the spirit messengers of the universe) into butterflies by mirroring the positive and negative spaces of the katsina face, thus turning them into wings. Visit Modern West to view the exhibition on display through October 10th.
Please join us for October's Gallery Stroll featuring new works by Phil Epp. Friday, October 16th, 6:30-8.
Congratulations to our represented artist, Logan Maxwell Hagege, on receiving the Harrison Eiteljorg Purchase Award from the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art.
On September 1st, our owner, Diane Stewart, facilitated a press conference at the State Capitol to call for more support and funding into the arts.
Big thanks to our artists who showed their support by signing our letter and attending the press conference.
