COLLABORATION / KIMBALL ART CENTER
Modern West is pleased to collaborate with Kimball Art Center in showcasing works by artist Alexandra Fuller for two exhibitions: Returning to Wonder and All Sketches Wish to Be Real.
Returning to Wonder brings together artists driven by an intense curiosity about natural phenomena and our relationship to the more-than-human world. Blending scientific inquiry with poetic imagination, these works act as portals into the spectacular dimensions of our environment. The exhibition features photographs from Fuller’s series A Participatory Universe, which explores how observation transforms perception. Using a black aluminum frame installed directly into the landscape, each image captures a fleeting moment in environments often overlooked.
All Sketches Wish to Be Real proposes that imagination is not escapism, but agency, and that scenarios dreamed into being can exert their own gravitational pull. These works are not fantasies, but invitations, sketches with a pulse, asking to be made real. The exhibition includes new cyanotype work by Fuller.
Please join us for the opening reception of Kimball Art Center’s exhibitions on Friday, January 16 from 6-8 PM. Visit at 1251 Kearns Blvd, Park City, UT 84060.
