Modern West is pleased to loan Charm by Dara Hartman to the Springville Museum of Art for their exhibition In This Together: Art, Belonging, and the Urgency of Social Connection.

In This Together explores belonging, loneliness, connection, and community through contemporary art. Developed in collaboration with Dr. Julianne Holt-Lunstad, one of the world's leading researchers on social connection and health, the exhibition features work by Utah artists responding to connection through their own experiences, perspectives, and practices.

Dara Hartman’s Charm is composed of ceramic tiles from over 100 Utah artists. Each segment of this “community quilt,” although identical in form, is embellished with materials entirely unique to each participating artist. Through this process, Hartman has emphasized strength in unity and a visual, tangible example of Utah’s diverse arts community.
