Modern West is pleased to loan select works by Dara Hartman for the exhibition Kaleidoscope at Gallery East in Price, Utah.
Kaleidoscope features work from two contemporary ceramic artists, Dara Hartman and Antra Sinha, and will be on view September 8 through November 6 in the Central Instruction Building (CIB) on Utah State University Eastern’s campus. The exhibition draws its title from the tubular optical toy—a kaleidoscope—through which a viewer sees lighted shapes (usually small pieces of colored plastic) that move and tumble with the turn of an outer cylinder. Visually, the term “kaleidoscope” describes the nature of Hartman and Sinha’s work. Brought together, the pieces are complementary and harmonious.
