Modern West is excited to announce our next show, The Modern West. The exhibition highlights a curated group of artists whose works are influenced by their identity having lived in Utah and have created a legacy through their practice. Featured are works by Fidalis Buehler, Rebecca Campbell, Angela Ellsworth, Jiyoun Lee-Lodge, Mitch Mantle, Kim Martinez, Eugene Tapahe and Xi Zhang, on display from July 21, 2023 to September 30, 2023.
Upstairs @ Modern West will be emphasizing the works of Fidalis Buehler, an artist who, through exhibiting his work, teaching, and connecting artists and their communities, has epitomized the spirit of The Modern West. Buehler’s personal process of working in a variety of mediums has been integrated into his pedagogy, challenging his students to discover new methods of expression. In honor of Buehler’s influence, we will be featuring a selection of prints by his BFA students alongside his own work.
