Please join us in celebration of Redd’s newest book A Cowgirl’s Conservation Journey: Stories from the Dugout Ranch, alongside landscape artworks inspired by Redd’s stunning property in our current exhibition Under Open Skies.

Heidi Redd is an accomplished adventurer and cowgirl. She is credited with co-creating an innovative partnership between working ranches and land conservation organizations. In 1967, Redd and her then-husband Robert purchased the Indian Creek Cattle Company and historic Dugout Ranch near Canyonlands National Park. In 1997, they partnered with The Nature Conservancy Utah Chapter to preserve the ranch’s biodiversity and unspoiled red rock scenery.

A Cowgirl's Conservation Journey holds a collection of thrilling stories and stunning photos from Redd’s remarkable life at the historic Dugout Ranch in the heart of Utah’s canyon country, and highlights her unique partnership with The Nature Conservancy (TNC) to save the ranch from development.
