Helper Sublime is a photography series by Utah-based artist Kevin Perry. The project grew out of spending time in Helper and paying attention to the things that are easy to overlook – old buildings, cars, quiet corners, the occasional odd discovery, and the landscape that surrounds the town.
To Kevin Perry, Helper Sublime is the best way to describe the town. There's an energy to Helper that's hard to define, but easy to feel. The layers of history and curious details keep revealing themselves the longer you stay. It's a town that quietly gets under your skin.
