“Labelling Levi Jackson’s artworks as photographs alone would be the same sort of reductionism he undoubtedly advises his students against when teaching studio photography, art criticism, and artist’s theory at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. ‘I make temporary site-specific installations that I document with photography,’ explains the 34-year-old Utah native.”
Levi Jackson was recently featured in the October | November issue of Western Art & Architecture. His upcoming online exhibition includes an array of his installations documented via photography. Read the rest of the Artist Spotlight here, or stop by the gallery to read the feature, and view his artworks in person. Stay tuned for the launch of Jackson’s online exhibition beginning November 1.
