Anna Laurie Mackay was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she currently works as a mixed media artist.  She has been the recipient of many awards and fellowships including the Greater Columbus Arts Council’s Individual Artist Fellowship, the Sustainable Arts Foundation’s Promise Award and The Ohio State University Fellowship Award.  She graduated with a BFA in printmaking from Brigham Young University, where she was awarded the J. Roman Andrus scholarship. Later, she moved to Columbus Ohio and received her MFA in printmaking from The Ohio State University.  She has pieces in several permanent collections and has exhibited both nationally and internationally. She is a proponent of creating opportunities for women within the arts and has served on the Board for Artist: Interrupted, A Women’s Art Collective, and has organized and curated multiple shows for women artists.
