Pia van Nuland is a printmaker currently based in Bremen, Germany. Van Nuland studied the arts at the Akademie voor Kunst en Industrie in the Netherlands and at the Edinburgh College of Art in Scotland. Between 2017-18 she lived in Salt Lake City, Utah where she received inspiration from national parks. Her work combines traditional and contemporary printmaking techniques, focusing on the process of linocut. Van Nuland’s prints emphasize the interaction of humans with nature, using both oil and water-based colors in her compositions.
