Jiyoun Lee-Lodge is a Korean artist currently based in Salt Lake City, Utah. Lodge received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts from Chung-Ang University in Seoul, Korea and Master’s of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College in New York City. Her work, inspired by surrealism and animation, represents her evolving identity as an immigrant and woman in our hybrid world of social media. She often depicts shifting water which repels, absorbs, reflects and stuggles to find a place within its environment. Lodge creates paintings, drawings, installation and public art as a way to continually understand herself and the world around her.
